What will you learn? Participants in the radiation protection course will be able to identify the concept of radiation associated with the chemical and physical foundations that explain it. They will be able to identify the facility in which they will work, considering occupational radiation protection according to the knowledge acquired in relation to the provisions of decrees No. 133/84 and No. 33/85, in such a way that they will know all the requirements of the Seremi to work in radioactive facilities, being aware of the risk agent.

Health personnel, technicians who work with X-ray emitting equipment, dental center staff, veterinary center staff.

    General Objectives

    • • Provide those who will work in facilities belonging to the 2nd and 3rd category according to decree No. 133/84, the skills that allow them to work with ionizing radiation under a culture of radiological safety, promoting the safe use of equipment and sources that generate ionizing radiation with full knowledge of current legislation and the necessary care with the environment.
    • • Likewise, it seeks to provide the knowledge and tools necessary for the management of radioactive material in the action of radiological emergencies.
